Hawkflyer, thanks. It's a Green Heron. This one was at the lake but there is one that likes to visit my koi pond, no telling how many he's eaten unfortunately.

I love to look at pieces of wood or rock  and finding hidden images.  Your last picture looks like a birds head.  You're lucky you could capture it, so many times you take the picture and you don't see it anymore.  Great shot.

Sometime weird stuff happens I was trying to get a pic of the white snake like cloud in the storm, shutter must have stayed open for a long time and I moved, so this is what happened.

Thank you, I am using a Canon 1D with a EF 400 mm  f/5.6 when I first saw it I was too close, I could not back off to much because of the brush and weeds growing around the little pond. I might put on my 80-200 canon lens and see what I can come up with. thanks again,rw

Here comes Peter Cotton Tail...
I took this photo in my backyard. My Grandson found their "nest" after mowing our yard.
They (3) were in a little hole in our Bermuda grass just 20 feet from our back door.
