I showed this here once before, but I didn't have the best pictures of it. Here it is again, with a new, custom frame.
This is a mixed media painting of Hayley Williams from the band Paramore. But my mom just likes to call her "Rocker Chick", so the name stuck and that's what I titled the painting. The dimensions are 20" x 14". The frame was made by my mom's boyfriend who is a talented woodworker. He used some scrap wood from a house he's working on. I stained and painted the frame, and we picked up a custom cut piece of glass to finish it off. I love it, and am starting to realize that a great frame can make a drawing even more awesome.

Awesome Nina! I thought it was a self-portrait at first...

What medium is it?

Wow!!!It was awsome but when put in that frame it really does make a great difference.  You are going far if you keep it up.

thanks guys. It started out as a black and white pencil sketch. I colored some parts in with colored pencils, painted everything that's black with acrylic paint, and finished everything else with watercolor.

Very nicely done Nina.  You're right about the framing, I have more than one print that I paid more to have it framed that I did for the print.  The right framing can make all the difference.  You did a good job on both.
