I am not a newby looking fo an "atta boy". I have been concentrating on my fish and birds for some time now and have decided it's time to step up my mammal work some also. I am looking for some good solid critiques of my work so feel free to say what you think. Yes I have very thick skin and an ego that doesn't get bruised very easily. I am not happy with the ear positioning and with the pics  see the lip line is slightly off from one side to the other. Please post what you will. Thanks alot.  Jeff. Oh yeah-the pics are clickable and will open up larger in a new window for better viewing. Thanks.

Looks great, the feet are nice. The only thing I see is the ears look a bit on the long/narrow side but thats just my thought. Cool A+++ Josh

Big yote, overall it looks great. The only issues I see is the eye shape, you're close but it's still off they look in little on the Chinese side. IMO ears seem a little up to high and need minor adjustments.. But it looks well groomed in the pictures you provided.

Overall it looks good, the one thing that jumps at me right away is the back left leg. Look at the profile picture #1 where the white and brown hair meet, that line should be on the leading edge of the leg. Most of the white should be on the inside.

one thing I noticed other that what was mentioned, ( and it might be camera angle.)  but it looks like his right eye is wandering slightly.    Im not sure,  it just seems like the yote's left is focused on me when I look at it, and his right is not.

I have OCD "real" bad and having this drives me nuts and, I might add, also drives everybody around me nuts to, lol. My eyes can pick up most misalignments, crooked lines and flaws that most people never notice. So, if I didn't pick up any flaws, then..? YOUR COYOTE LOOKS AWESOME, but the lines that make up his lip line might be alittle crooked, but nothing more, and hardly noticeable, if at all. So, go ahead and pat yourself on the back, because your yote is one of the best that I've ever seen...

Nice looking coyote Jeff. Old Terry would be proud. The only thing different I would have done is maybe use a cast nose from one of the suppliers or cast your own.   Brian

Looks like a pretty tight piece.
I'd pull the back corners of the eyes back and up just a tad.
Good job.

Nice job, maybe check your nose reference, the nostril wings seem to be a little thick, symmetry?
Check skin alignment as mentioned. To me the muzzle seems a little wide but it is still very nice.

Great yote

I think the ears stick out to me first. Most of my reference shows the ears set a little further apart, and sitting on the head at an angle, where yours look straight up similar to a rabbit.

Also from your profile shot it looks like your ears stand straight up, where most of my reference shows them a little further forward on the head and tilted forward at the tips, not straight up.

pbase.com has tons of great coyote reference, as well as others.

Great work as usual Jeff but I do think you will get dinged in comp for the back legs and eye corners.
