need help pricing mountain

i have a customer that wants me to build him a mountain in his trophy room to put his sheep grand slam on    it would measure  12' long x 7' wide x 6 1/2' high  any of you guys done this before and could give me some pointers on pricing  ?

Something like this in mind would be T&M.  Figure your hourly rate and charge accordingly with your material purchases.  Win-Win.

Done many!!!You are going to have to construct it with strength in mind,  perplanned walk paths to set up mounts,,,and pre-planned mount locations...  Next,  figure in for a large amount of supplies,  habitat and rock mix,  paints,,  sealer-  usually a combo of matte and gloss...Custom installations also require extra measures to protect the clients house/belongings etc,  so you must also include expenses occuring there,  ie.  paint drop cloths etc..  Include the costs of getting the materials to the site as well-  fuel,  taxes etc..  Also include the time involved in diagraming and sketching or model work...There is as much behind the scene time involved as there is in the actual project!!  Do it well,  and GET PAID FOR IT!!

15,000 would not be out of the park all depends what your artistic mind leads you to
maybe as high as 25,000 labour and materials

Some of the habitat guys charge by the square foot. $100-150 and more.

wouldnt it wiser to tell your customer that its 3 weeks labor at 55.00 per hour and let him pay for the material gass and what ever else he would want to add.. this way your covered and after all the work your ahead of the game / if it takes more than 3 weeks to build charge him the rate . then you have made the money and your out nothing even it he wants more    mark c

thanks for the respones       the customer wanting me to build this mountain     was giving a bid for $28,000 by another taxidermist which he thinks is to much   i am trying to figure how much lower i could go and still make a good profit.

I would say tou would be fine at 25,000. Thats a big project.
