Hey guys, I'm hoping for som advise.  I'm really excited about starting some casting projects, and I have watch Jan Van H's Carcass casting dvd several times now, gotten all my materials in order, and I'm ready to start.  This will most likely be my first question of many.

I want to make a death mask first using alginate.  Jan uses vaseline on the face of the animal.  My question is, how is the vaseline best removed before tanning?

Using Alginate, you should not need to use Vaseline or any other release agent.
