I have an area of Foam that I want to paint. I was thinking of covering it with one of these three materials, Fin Backing Cream, Apoxie sculpt, or Bondo. Can someone tell me which would be the best to use. Thanks.

Sand the skin off the top of the form to expose the foam cells. Mix bondo and fibergalss resin so it's the consistancy of pancake batter so it's thin enough to brush on the foam with a cheap paint brush. It will absorb into the foam. When it dries you will have a nice hard strong surface to paint and retain it's shape.

Thanks Dean, I was experimenting with the Backing Cream. It works pretty good too. I will also try the bondo and resin.

Depending on the surface roughness you want, fiberglass resin+hardner+ gloves+good tough brush=works well too.

Can you give a little explanation of what you are trying to do and what type of paint you're using?
