How many capes in Tanner?

The seller of the auto tanner tells me I can tan about 8 deer cape in the 22 gallon tanner at once,,, whatever I do I cant even try 5,,, I can see 2-3 deer cape goes in there,, but 8 ,!!!!! just doesnt fit.
What do you think ? Have anyone out there really done it ?
Another thing,,, one gallon of water for each cape again sometimes doesnt make it in my mind,,, the instruction says that the cape shouldnt be floating but should be covered when pressed down in the juice,,, for a pedestal deer cape,, i use 2 gallon , speically with the winter long hair on the cape...
What do you guys do ?

I generally use 1 gal to a cape, but will use more on some things; like elk and antelope.
Just keep the solution at the same strength; the worst that can happen is yougo through your chemical a little faster.
Cheap piece of mind if you're worried!
I think you could do 8 deer at once if you wanted; I have had up to 5 antelope at once, and they take up alot more space because of all that hair.
As long as everything gets wet with the solution it will tan.

I have a custom made 40 gal pressure tanner the most i do at one time is 4 otherwise the get tangled up and the tan wont penetrate well
