can anyone help me i read a post on here some time back and the guy showed how to make molds out of silicone and acrylic paint well that worked great but he also said he liked to use thinned bondo to pour his castings what do you thin bondo with i have the body filler kind not sure if this is the right kind or not also what are some other things you guys are using to cast with

mixing it with fiberglass resin..mix them 50/50 or so. I probably mix closer to 60/40 bondo/resin...and then sometines even thicker on the bondo....go 50/50 at first and learn to adjust for your needs as you get more use to how it flows and hardens

I mix fiberglas resin.... get a blop of bondo mix your hardner in, , then 1/2 that amount of resin, mix with a couple drops of the resin hardner.. Works for me it is very runny

I usually mix a gallon size can of bondo & fiberglass resin (about60/40 ratio-more if needed during hot weather)at a time & add in tempra paint to give it a solid base color. When ready to use it, all I have to do is re-stir can ingredients & add my cure/hardner. This way I don't have to deal with all the mixing & measuring when I'm in a pinch for time, and also if I do a series of rocks the base color is consistent.
