you don't have to use burlaps .. im using old cotton T shirts.. they work just fine

That's an interesting idea Brushwolf. I save all my old t-shirts for working on vehicles. What do you use when you run out of t-shirts? I have another question for you (or anyone else)- have you ever used anything other than plaster? I was going to try some lightweight drywall compound (the 20 minute set stuff). Have you ever tried this or anything else similiar?

if you run out of shirts .. go to hobby lobby. or where ever some one sells the rolls of cloth .. get white of the cheapest ones you can find
