Kurt, don't be afraid to use in on the face, it will do just as good a job if not better than buckeye. If you bag your mounts, it will give you all the time you need to come back and make adjustments if needed.

Yeah, I always bag my mounts for a couple days to slow the drying...especially as it gets warmer outside.  I've give it a shot on the face next mount.  Although it seemed to really set up fast on the non-bagged part.

I have to agree with Matt on the 555 hide paste. I have been using it for about 8 years now and have no complaints at all. I use it on the whole mannikin with NO pinning at all and I use it on the earliners also.
My only complaint is that the cost has went up extremely compared to when I first start using it !!!  LOL
I just picked up 5 gal. tonight to get me by and ordered 45 more gallons to pick up next week.

I've got a feeling that Sherwin Williams is selling more of the 555 than they ever have and a price increase is coming! We've created a monster!

I don't want to stock up too much, does anyone have an approx. shelf life on the 555?

Thanks,

I was a little nervous when I switched to it but I've gotta say now that I've done a few with it I'm hooked. Holds the cape right where you put it! Just wish I would have tried it sooner.
