wholesale HAWGS from Hog Heaven, thumbs way up

Hey, if you hate doing hogs, wild boars, pigs, *&^%s whatever you call them, heres a good one for you. Try having Bill and Rob Coates at Hog Heaven do them for ya. I got to see a couple of their mounts here recently. I checked everything out, because I knew they used to keep live hogs for reference as well as...ick, pets. Those two guys know hogs! The lazy looking upper eyelid, right sized ear butts, all hair patterns in place (yes, even hogs have hair patterns!) nice inner mouth/throat depth. They had a good transition to lip and nose parts and the tusks were not over-done. I looked at the back of the mount, and the leather wrapped around behind, it was free of grease, truly tanned. There was a good multi-position hanger for those offset shoulders, if needed. I dont care for boars with giant oversized eyes, and these mounts had what I feel was an accurate sized eye. Im told they even throw in the shipping, so Im telling you what, I dont know how you could beat this deal. I know these guys, been friends with them for years and see their good competition work at our state show, and these commercial heads are definitely not second rate. Call them @315-493-1405, just like the ad in Breakthrough Magazine says...and tell them Yox told ya about them.

I have had several opportunities to examine boar mounts by Bill and Rob Coates and they are true masters. Those guys have paid their dues and done their homework.

I just noticed that Mr Rick Carter also talked very well of these guys and their work. Rick is another hawg expert, so coming from him, thats some endorsement!

I have one now I need to have mounted or get off my butt and do it my self. I have a feeling I'll send it out my back has me down so I cant do much anymore. I would think they would pick up some extra work from the posting by Bill and Rick.

Wow! this thread was dug up from nearly two and 1/2 years ago. I still stand by the comments I made about the Coates. Great guys that do awesome mounts. They are extremely quality minded!
