Where is the best place to get hardwood sawdust? How much does 100 lbs typically cost?

I don't know what you consider a good price but I like the sawdust sold by JRTS.

I got mine from Mck. 30.45 / 50 lbs   Seach sawdust that is the item # for it

Van Dykes sells "Marth Animal Bedding", made by Marathon Hardwood Co, Marathon, WI.  It cost ~$25 for 40#, and cost ~$27 in shipping to Mississippi.  I think that ACE Hardware stores may sell it.  It is a very good hardwood sawdust for tumbling.

Look under tumbler mixes...it is on the same page as the tumblers.

I've got 2 options 20 mesh or 40 mesh.  I'd assume the finer 40 mesh is used on softer skins like bobcat etc.  How about deer hides?  Would you recommend using the 20 on that?  Thanks.  gary

What mesh do you folks use....the fine or coarser?

40 mesh or higher is best for furdressing, I went to corn cob grit because of availability of sawdust. Works great!
