I NEED SOMEONE TO SHOW ME HOW TO TRAP IN MICHIGAN . I HAVE A YOUNG SON AND I THINK IT WOULD BE A GOOD HOBBY FOR US. THANKS TO WHO RESPONDS BACK. I TRIED TO TALK TO THE MICHIGAN TRAPPERS ASSOC. BUT NO ONE GOT BACK TO ME.

You can also go to a google home page and type in "Michigan Trappers Association". That will get you a list of board members that can put you in contact with someone in your area. Trust me when I say that all trappers associations welcome new trappers and will go out of their way to keep the sport/conservation efforts alive

I wish I lived closer. I enjoy teaching youngsters how to trap. I am sure you have a local trapper who would enjoy giving him some tips. I think that starting out simple with a few smaller #1's and learning the basics is important. As you son gets older and more experienced, he will add a few traps and a lot of experience to his trapline every year. Have fun!
