I've never mounted a quail.  A buddy of mine wants me to mount some for him.  My question is does anybody remove the legs like you do on ducks?  I tried searching, but I can't find an answer to this.

i don't remove the legs on ducks

Me neither.  Turkeys and other very large birds, yes, but ducks and smaller geese, no.
