From the extreme upward turn on the rear of the fish, the angle, the wide mouth, my first guess would be Archie Phillips.

My guess is that it's a blank from an old Bob Davis mold all of which are now owned by Rick Hardy of Catch and Release Taxidermy  also known as Unique Species, Inc. in Lake Helen Fla.

I think it might be one of mine. I molded a fish in 1979 with plaster and the mold has long been gone if it is the same fish. It was 21.13 lbs and it isnt as large as the picture seems. Look at the guys fingers, you can tell he is pushing it out pretty good. I do have the right turn still, although the detail is now lacking. It was done by none other than Bob Berry!!!   I have the original mold and I think I own the only copy of the fish now. It is still a heck of a fish!!  Kinda flat on the back side and the mouth is only 1/2 open. Signed on the backside by Bob!!  I can send you a pic if you like.

Hi Ron

Geez thanks alot I would appreciate it if u can send me a pic. I would love to see it. The guy in this pic is BoB Crupi that caught the 22lber, his fish used to be the second largest bass recorded. I love  the shaoe of that blank he is holding

The one I had that is no longer was for David Zimmerlee and the other is Ray Easly's fish. I think the mold is not mine now that I have seen the closeup. I beleive it was done by either Lyons and o'Haver or Bob's Taxidermy. They are both from California.   Looks like Bob's paint job to me.

I think the answer is on the back wall behind the guy. Below the  huge closed mouth lmb is a sign for Roberts taxidermy. I think, that is who Bob Berry sold all his molds to about thirty years ago. They continued to mold more after that.
