I gotta ask this again.  Where is the best place to buy this.  I have been trying to find a local supplier for months with no luck and don't want to spend $75 on 4 gallons of BO anymore.

$75 ?? ! ??  :o  Costs me $13 a gallon at the pool store. In the New England area, Ocean State Job lot sells it for $11.

Harcros Chemicals Inc.

35%

30gal. plastic drum

94.00 delivered

However, I have to go thru a local company that buys from them on a regular basis to get that free delivery and price.

I called UNIVAR and they are making me fill out a credit form and won't sell to consumers. Their picked up price is essentially the same as Birkocorp's shipped price for 15 gallons.

There is a Univar distribution center 40 miles from me and they quoted a price of $90.00 for 15 gallons of 35%.  That really sounded good because i could go pick it up.  There was a problem though.....the had a minimum order of $350.00 and would not budge.  I did not need 60 gallons.

They did refer me to someone who would sell just 15 gallons but almost double Univar's price and I still had to pick it up.  Still cheaper than BO though.

Maybe next time I need some, I will be able to find someone to split an order from Univar.

My first order with Univar I bought 55 gal. 50% and 55 gal. 28% Ammonium Hydroxide. Since then I buy only the 50%. For some reason it is cheaper than 35%. I dilute it so it goes a LONG way.

I had issues with univar not wanting to sell to me as a personal buisness.   Will keep my buisness with Dwight at birko as he is always great to deal with.  wouldnt mind getting a 55 gal drum of amonia though, so I wouldnt have to buy the ace stuff by the case.

I'll be doing the same. Seeing if my buddy will let me ship to his commercial address.
