Hey guys just throwing this out there hoping for advice. I have a velvet mule deer that I need to mount. I have used bess maid liquid tan 4in1 and followed instructions. I am pleased with the way the velvet stayed, but my concern is how do I clean the skull cap and degrease it with out damaging the velvet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Is everything dried hard? Just clean the skull plate. You may have been better off, cleaning before you did anything. If the velvet is dried, you shouldn't have any problems handling the antlers if that is your question. No need to degrease, sprinkle some borax on the skull.
