"X" Pictures

Why do some pictures show up and others show up as the red X?  It is different depending on where I am checking the site out.  Do I need to change something or is it the way it is being put on?  I know others are seeing it because there are comments on the photos.

It has to do with the site hosting the pictures.  Like photobucket.  If the person deletes their picture from photobucket and/or the photobucket server is down you will get the x.

I think that's only half of it Darrell, I think that the pictures do not load all the way up on the computer, as the print always does, the pictures sometimes do not. I get it once in a while, even the avatars are blank, but the little red x in the corner. Sometimes you can right click on the x and pick "show picture" out of the window.
