Use Water----it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours---just soak until it becomes pliable.
if it will make you feel better, you can add a capful of lysol or bacteriacide to your water.

Mark - I'll E-Mail our instructions for relaxing a tanned skin or cape safely for mounting - and it can be used for relaxing any tanned skin - no matter what tannage was used. Stick to it though - dont add any additives. You should have a nice soft, flexible cape or skin to work with. Good luck.
