After rehydrating, removing ear cartilage, thinning nose pad/nostrils, trimming/thinning nostrils/eyelid skin for tucking and thinning lips, is there anymore thinning that needs to be done? For example...between eyelash and eyebrow hairs, under chin between hairs, burr area, etc. Or are these areas thin enough as it comes back from the tannery?
-on who your tannery is. Some are done quite well while others don't get the round knife in too close. Eyebrows, lips, and the back sides of ears tend to be the spots that will be missed and I'd rather the fur dresser leave that to me if he thinks he has it close enough. Better that than a blown ear or shaved hole in a muzzle. You decide if it's thin enough. If I feel plumpness between my thumb and forefinger, I usually do the job with a sharp scalpel. If it's a larger area, I'm not bashfull in puttin it on my own wheel.
