soaking deer hide for mounting

Submitted by Eric on 9/1/00. ( Gilman@wingsisp.com ) 12.34.36.176

I need some help on soaking a deer cape for mounting. The last deer I did, the hair pulled out. What would be a good process in soaking these hides? Formulas.. How hot or cold the water, bacterialcide, lysol, etc... Thank you Hilltop Taxidermy...

Hi Eric, if you click the search command and type in "rehydrating capes" you'll get all the information guys might not want to retype. Although there is one drawback to the search command, Ken has us waiting 15 seconds to get all that information, think you could shorten that up a bit Ken?! Teasing!

Good luck Eric!
