I have a question about hair slippage on antelope capes. What I have is a cape but when I grab a bunch of hair between my thumb and forefinger and pull the hair comes out. Does this happen naturally with a good pull? Or when you talk about slippage does it pull out with a very slight pull?

There is a difference between loose hair and slipping hair.
when a cape or skin "slips" the hair will come off in patches
or clumps with the slightest touch. a "slipped spot" will be
completely smooth, with no hair left.
pronghorns are naturally loose,--- but to fix your problem, stop
pulling out the hair!
good Luck

Remember that pronghorns have two glands you have to worry obout its the two black spots under the jaw bone. that will have to be fleshed down to ware you can't see it no more. I didn't know if you knew that good Luck Tim.
What is the main cause of hair slipage? I have mounted all of my own deer and have never DPed the hides. I simply flesh, wash in dish soap and roll it around in sawdust to take moisture out. I then use hide paste on the mannikins and mount. They all look great and some are 6 years old. Any concerns I should have?
