Greetings. I am looking to remove all the non-bone material off of several small reptiles. They have very delicate ribs that i would like to leave intact. I have read about boiling with Sal Soda.. is there a better way to clean a whole body? Would dermestid beetles be a reasonable solution?
Thanks for your patience, I have never before done anything of this kind, so am a rank novice.

...has a whole chapter on the subject. The beetle method was preferred, but the skeleton must be removed from the colony before totally cleaned because once the hundreds of ribs start falling off, putting them back in the right order is quite tedious. I have never personally done one of these projects, but if I ever do I will use dermestids.
