The NOOSE is the best hanger I have seen. Look at the head and shoulder where is the center of gravity on your mount? That is the place to put it as close to the top as possible. JohnC
Just got a shipment in from McKenzie and guess what I found on the back of the forms.Perfect built-in hanger. Great idea McKenzie !
I use the heavy wire loops and I center them on the position in the cener where ever the head aligns.
As for the McKenzie hanger, they could keep mine off and refund that "slight increase in price". I always cover the back of my mannikens with cardboard when finished. I hate to see exposed staples, hide edges, and dimpled hair on the backs of a beautiful mount. When I do, this dinky little plastic triangle gets covered and then I have to skip rope to avoid hitting the hole with a screw. Personally, I think they overstepped by installing something not ususally considered part of the manniken. Especially when they charge extra for it.
I stain them, and work the edge down so it lays flat. I orefer the NOOSE instead of the hanger McKenzie is forcing us to use.
I use the Finishing Touch hangers, the one that inserts into the back of the form with the use of a hole saw. They look nice too. And the mount seems to hang more flush with the wall.
Tell your customers to stop hanging those deerheads on windows...bingo, end of problem! Who the heck cares what the back of them look like? Ha ha ha! George was always a bit backwards, good thing we like eachother. I think McKenzie has a great thing, even though I dont always use that hanger...by the way, theres plenty of room for your own hangers around theirs...
Use the "NOOSE"
My vote for best hanger easily goes to Gary Bowens hanger. Nothing else is as strong and can be used on offset forms like Gary's. I love it.
