After the tannery, what prep work will I need to do besides dehydrating and sweating the hide, do I put the hide paste on a sweated hide or wait for hide to be dry?

Some tanneries like East Coast send your capes back with next to nothing to do but pull your ear cartilage, rehydrate and mount. Others will send you a cape that need be finish trimmed in the critical areas ie: eyes, lips, nose etc.You say you have some blood stains you need to get out? If you have blood stains on a cape that's come back from the tannery, I'd be suspect of their thoroughness in tanning. Your capes coming back from the tannery should need no more washing, just rehydration. There's a bunch of good tanneries out there, before you put all your eggs in one basket, may I recommend you try a few and find one that performs their task to your liking, Happy Holidays and best of luck to you........
