for a duck, you really don't need anything out of a kit.
you can purchase everything locally. A kit will still be convenient,
but my point is that you can fill in any missing items easily.

for chemicals,
you need borax(20 mule team from your grocery store)
a degreaser (dawn is fine, and solvents are readily available, although you might explode or burn down the neighborhood)

thats all you need.

--for supplies you need straight wire (from lowes or home depot, or clothes hangers will work in a pinch)
--cotton and string for wrapping wings and legs.
--a chunk of foam for the body(which you can sand or carve) or excelcior(wood wool) and twine(if you choose to wrap a body instead).
--foam necking(weather stripping )
--paints and brush for your finish work(takes lots of practice)

for tools you need
--needle and thread(upholstery thread)
--sharp knife or scapel
--sharp scissors(for defatting)
--linesman's pliers

Thats it!
everything necessary to do your duck. I do recommend you use glass eyes, which are available in your kit.(you could use plastic eyes found locally, but I DON'T recommend it)

I recommend you get a good video or taxidermy book. then practice as much as possible.

If you have any more specific questions let us know.

Dave
