How do I get rid of the scent of a skunk so that I can skin it, and does anyone have any tips on skinning one?

I have said before and really beleive malagon is the
best stuff to get rid of fox urine smell,coyote urine smell
and even skunk smell.I dont sell it or anything but it really
works. It removes the smell on the moleculer level doesnt
just cover it up.As far as skinning if it sprayed already
there is no way I would skin it without soaking the whole
skunk for at least 15 min.Fof a whole animal it probably wont
take all the smell away but it will become bearable. when you
get around the anus-base of tail area TAKE YOUR TIME.after
skinning soak for another 15 min. remove and flesh salt and
dry as quickly as you can.It works great.You buy malagon in
most af the tax. catalogs. Its concentrated a quart will
do several skunks.

Wayne E Mail your address and i will send you some info skinning a skunk if you never did it be for it is like gambling and if you dont win all of the time wait for the info when skinning you must find the sent sack and tie it off and than cut it from the skin above the tie if you cut into it their is nothing that you spray or soak it that will help just have alot of tomato juice on hand. AND DONT SKIN IT IN THE HOUSE OR SHOP until you know what you are doing and then it can be a gamble some times the sent sack is not full but i have seen them filled to the size of a golf ball dont let this sent get in eyes it burns it will burn yous eyes even if the sack is cut. wait for the info on how to
I have skinned 3 skunks myself and i'm not even a taxidermist.
I'm just a mere amateur whose Fascination happens to be skunks.
I found out the hard way when skinning a shunk for the first time that that vinager quickly removes the smell from YOU as for getting rid of the sent of the skunk,i'd be surprised if there really is something out there other than a cloth-pin.......if you find something that gets rid of the sent please let me know,i'm bored with having my dog run from me.....
