Mini Flesher

I am looking at purchasing a FleshAll Mini Flesher. Is it a good
idea to order an extra blade at the same time ? How many deer capes
can I expext to flesh before a change is needed ? Also , I will
throw out an idea... maybe someone else has thought or tried ?
Can a debris shield, front guard, and a replacement blade be purchased
then be installed on your own die grinder to make a workable flesher ?
John Rinehart sells the parts as seperate items.. any info would
be great.. Thanks Jeff

Mini-Flesher

I've used my mini-flesher for at least 7 or 8 years. Bought mine just as soon as they came out in McKenzie Catalog. I hit some lead bird shot within a year of purchasing, that was embedded in the flesh of the face on a wt. This seemed to dull the original blade. I bought a new blade and have used it at least 6 years without replacing. I do approx 20 WT a year (part time). Because the blade is serrated, I think it would last until you hit some foreign object as I did. Overall I'm very pleased with mine. I don't think I'd try to adapt parts to another die grinder, but I'm of the old school that says "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Good Luck...Mike

Jeff, Go for it. The end shield, blade, and debris shield can be put on a die grinder. It works great! I've been using this for a couple of
years with no problems. And yes Rinehart does carry these parts.
Good Luck, Kent
