Derek,
Jim Allreds has some schedules posted on his site that you can download. You can link to it from here under suppliers.

The Breakthrough fish painting encyclopedia

It has all of the most common mounted fish paint schedules. As far
as the open or closed mouth. I was told early on for a competition it is better to
close the mouth. The reason is you do not have to rebuild the interior of the
throat and the gills. You can get bonus points if you can do a good
job rebuilding it but it is a lot of work. If it is a customer mount most
like the open mouth.

Derek,
I have a great paint schedule that is simple, and works for me, and I know it will work for you. Try it, and try each and every other schedule you can get your hands on and eventually...you will develop your own. Email me at georgiastilllife@homepage.com and I will send it to you...Ken
ps...do it open mouth...nothing ventured...nothing gained!!!!!
