The type of paint you use has nothing to do with moisture that may accumulate in your compressor tank or air line. It developes when your compressor compresses the air it takes in. The more humidity (moisture)in the air, the more moisture available to be squeezed out of it. The last thing you want to happen is to have a bunch of accumulated water spit out of your airbrush and ruin a paint job (Murphy's law dictates that this will always happen just as you are about to finish the job)! A moisture trap, either on the compressor(preferable), or in the air line, is a small investment. You can thin water based paints with acetone (very flammable), or either isopropyl or denatured alcohol.
