eye problems

I recently finished my first whitetail mount. I am pleased with
everything but the eyes. Is there anyway I could redo the eyes
without taking apart the whole mount.

If your cape was tanned you shouldn't have a problem. Just spray area around eye's with water and then put a damp cloth over the eyes. Wrap with plastic over night and the hide should relax. If need be you can add or remove some clay around the eye. Remember, use good reference.
Good luck, Rob

If you put Downy in the water it will work a little faster (and it smells good). Also, use a 3-D reference eye cast and, a great investment, a quick-set eye tool. You get the thickness of the surrounding eye flesh, and the eye tool will shape the opening perfectly. Good luck!
