I bought a Panfish kit and I followed all of the instructions perfectly, but The fish smells like a fish that is decaying. Is this normal? How long will this last? Thanks, Jason

Sounds like maybe you didn't get all of the meat out of it.
Fish do tend to smell like fish though.
Maybe you could fill us in a little more on how long it has been mounted, and what you used to preserve it...etc.
The smell of a small fish should go away in a relatively short period of time. However a fish should not smell like road kill. You should try to remove all of the meat that you can, especially in the head region. You might try practicing on fish you do not plan to mount.
