I recieved a pair of pheasant wings in the mail and they really smell bad. Is there a simple way that I can deodorized them & or preserve them for a craft project. I do not know anything about taxidermy but hoped someone from this art could inform me what to do. Thanks.

First thing you need to do is remove any meat. You'll need to cut through the back side of the wing along the bones. Then go to a grocery store and pick up a box of 20 mule team borax. Dust the flesh side of the skin liberally and let dry. This should take care of it.
