I finished a shoulder mount of a closed mouth black bear. the problem is that the mouth , after drying, opened a little bit. It's not bad at at all ,but would like to keep the mouth closed. How could i prevent this. Thank You Tom H.

Maybe

If it's anything like a deer, then making a narrower lip slot and tucking the lips to the hairline might help.

Try resoaking the lips until they soften.
Re-tuck the lips, let them semi-dry put a
shot of super glue on them pushem tight and maybe
use a pin or two?

If you're going to rehydrate them, try shaving more hide off the lip area, thinner lip shrinks less, then tuck as usual.

I think if i thin the lips down more it will help. Thanks again.
