Beetle Question

I recently purchased some beetles to clean up some heads I had received. I have had them in a conatainer at 80 Degrees and they don't seem to be very active. In this container I have a hog head which had been boiled and a mule deer skull which was only skinned out and put in the container. The beetles seem to be attracted more ththe boiled skull rather than the skull with fresh meat. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe they sold you some picky beetles that prefer their meat cooked.(Just Kidding).Maybe you placed the boiled skull in the container First they are working on it eventually thay will get to the other head.

I heard you have to let the meat rot a little before you put it in with the beetles.I have not used them before but when I checked in to getting them, I asked alot of questions. Also when you do not have any work for them to do you must still feed them rotting meat of some kind.

Hope this helps Rob
