Drill two holes in the front of your skull plate and one in the rear. Use 3" drywall screws and screw it on. I like to fill in gaps with bondo because it drys quicker and has a strong bond.

I drill four two from two back, I also like to put bondo under the skull, I started with bondo under the skull as it stops any possiblity of breaking the skull when the head is handled by the antlers or horns. John C

I drill 3 holes but I use an all in one drill countersink bit so that the screw(3" drywall, coarse thread)head has somewhere to go and does not split the skull cap. I also recommend using a drill bit about size 3/16 for a #6 screw. In other words make the hole so that the shoulder of the screw has room. AND to fill in around the skull cap ,I use a very coarse mache' with a little plaster mixed in.This dries quickly and if needed you can still push a pin in it .If you use the short cut method you may like this way as you can smooth it all out,let it dry ,take it off, place the cape on the form, and replace the whole assembly because the mache does not stick permanently to the foam form .Once the cape is on you can apply some adhesive under the mache/skull cap before replacing the screws and sewing.

Thanks for the pointers
