kenmore dryer, have taken the heating eliment out taped up the exhaust vent, and also the heating port, where heat goes into the dryer. taped up the bottem half of the opening so not to loose cob.The dryer has three dumblers in it. should all or anybe taken out I wonder if this will be to hard on waterfowl if left in. also assume I should fill tumble about half full with corn cob. The exhaust fan seems to be direct drive with the tumbler so i cant unhook it. I dont see this as a problem. Have i forget anything? thank you for any response.

I had a converted dryer that I used for tumbling but I only used it for mammal hides. The thing about a dryer is that it tumbles too fast to used for birds. I mean this in all seriousness. Don't use it for birds. They work great for deer capes if you need a cheap tumbler but, in my opion, will damage a bird.

I got the plans it says to take out all the tumbling arms plug the holes with fiberglass resent. The blower. leave the blower hooked up but the fan blade is fasened with A crimp washer take the washer of and the fan will pull off. I just converted mine over so I can't tell you how good it works. good luck Dave.

duane, thanks for your info, I need to figure out the fan with the washer on it. what i have i really dont think it would matter but maye so a guy that works for me said take out the tumblers and put in pvc around one inch only maybe one or two since they are round this would help the beating process. also he said a person can put a device on it to slow down the speed of current being the electric current. sorry for the loss of words, and thanks for the input to all if yours does not work let me know if mine does not I will let any one know that might help me.
