Today in my shop,Irealized that very same question. I was in the midst of shaving a pickled cape across my wooden fleshing beam.I wondered too if the acid would penetrate the wood and eventually ruin it.I am using Rittel's Saftee acid .Should I coat my beam with fiberglas resin or will it be fine .I thought of rinsing the beam down with some baking soda solution. Bruce?
