How long can I safely leave hides in a formic acid bath

I have left capes in my acid for up to 3 mounths with no trouble just make sure the ph stays at o.1 you will be fine Ken
I have some test hides that have been in formic for well 2 years and 4 months now, every once in awhile I pull them out and look at them, check the pH, even tan a piece, so far I can say the cat hides have aired the worst, deer bear and coyote are fine. JohnC
