Mix it like any other pickle. at lest 1 pound of salt to the gallon, now add Vinegar intill you have dropped the pH to 1.5 to 2. After adding your hides receck and drop the pH back down with more vinegar.
How long do you leave a hide in the vinegar pickle? Also is it as good as saftee acid? Thats what I normaally use.

leave your deer "fresh" and "inviting"!
The formula I've used for White Vinegar is: For every 1 gallon of pickle, mix 2 quarts of water, 2 quarts of White Vinegar, and 1 Lb. of Salt. your Ph should be approx. 2.2-2.5. If not at least a 2.5, add more Vinegar. Capes and skins placed in it should be OK for up to 2-3 weeks, but stir it daily and check the ph every 2-3 days. It works very well - but is not considered a long term pickle.
