new to taxidermy how to information needed

My husband has just started getting into tanning and taxidermy. Does anyone have any suggestions on the tools he might need (as in which ones are better)?
What is a good way for a beginner to learn? He has WASCO's Beginner Manual Book Set but is there a better or just another way to learn?

Any help would be appreciated on this!

Thanks.

when i first started i used the manuals from WASCO, i now have all of the ones i need and currently refer to them and my back issues of Breakthrough. contact a local taxidermist and see if he or she would be willing to teach the beginner stuff to you. become a member of your local taxidermist association and go to some competitions, enter a few mounts this is also a great way to learn. Rinehart supply 1-800-for-deer and WASCO both have great videos. it takes time to learn quality work and remember it takes just as long to do it wrong as it does to do it right..learn the right way..don't take any shortcuts
