Skull Plate Repair

Drill small pairs of holes on either side of the break. Thread a wire through each pair of holes, and then wrap the two ends together. Twist this together tightly with a pair of pliers. As the two ends of the wire are twisted, it will draw the sides of the break together. Do this again for the other pairs. Keep tightening up until they are as tight as you can get them. Now fill the cavity of the skull plate with Bondo as the last message stated. The plate is probably stronger now than when on the deer!

Mine is too.

Schuyler,
Chris' idea works well, but I use the holes to attach metal straps. I do the back side first and then put one on the front. Then I fill the skull cavity with fiberglass resin and fiberglass chop. Once it kicks, I take the outside strap off and then I can drill through the repaired skullplate without worrying about the bondo chipping or cracking.
