Hi folks,
I have used several videos from [a supply company], and while they have been very helpful to me, I have found them to be less than the best in tape and production quality. Furthermore, I am interested in finding a helpful, well produced video that shows how to mount a coon or fox that has been professionally tanned as opposed to dry preservative. Any thoughts on where I should turn?
Thanks!

Michael,
I've purchased a number of videos from WASCO, both done in their studio
and at the WTC seminars. As far as the technical production goes, I'd
have to say the studio one's are better. It's like one-on-one instruction
with these videos. Those that were filmed at the seminars can be pretty
good (Brent Housekeeper's coyote video) as well as extremely informative.
I have Sally Dahmes'Whitetail video, Jan Van Hoesen's bobcat mounting
and carcass casting videos and Tom Sexton's LM bass video (you can hear
a radio in the background in Tom's) and these are all well made. I just
got the Darin Flynn fox mounting video filmed at the 1999 WTC
and although it was informative there was a lot of distracting background
noise and it was chopped up to fit on a two hour tape. I also got a
'coon mounting video from Van Dyke's that wasn't bad. None of the mounts
were done DP, either Liqua Tan or Lutan-F (done in-house, not sent to
a tannery). If you want a 'coon or fox video I can recommend Darin's for
fox and would not hesitate to recommend the LS 'coon video (4 hours) by
Housekeeper, based on his coyote video. I'm sure there are people out there
who have seen many more videos and can make comparisons and recommendations.
Good luck,
Glenn
