First Bear, Just fleshed out do i need to do any thing about oil other than salt and dry for tannery? thanks for the help!

As long as you took off the fat and meat all that is needed is a good salting. Then after 24 hrs. shake off the salt resalt with fresh salt and let dry. There's no need for any oiling. The tannery will do the rest. Make sure you let them know what you want to do with the hide. Some tanneries will use a different tan if it's for a life size or a rug.
