ive only mounted one grey squirrel and i shot a black coyote
yesterday. i was wore out after the ordeal.iskinned him out
washed the blood out,put his hide in a plastic bag and put it in the
freezer and went to bed. im going to get the right books and videos,
im just wondering if ive already messed up by not doing any other
preperations before freezing it. thanks for any replys.

Won,t be a problem bacteria can,t grow at that teemp. Just thaw when ready and work it up.

If you messed up on this. I have been doing it for years.
You're fine...when tou have some time, thaw it out, flesh the thing and start tanning. Just don't let the cape get dry or too hot ( both will cause hair slippage IE: to fall out) .
