in my neck of the woods prices range from 300.00 to 400.00 they are a lot of work, no sewing involved, but charge for your time and skills. 350.00 to 450.00 would be about right. check with the local taxidermists in your area and charge accordingly do not sell them or yourself short..

I do anywhere from 2-3 dozen boar per year and my best advice to you is get as much as possible for them. I assume that you do topnotch work and wil do the piece justice. First off on boars there is NO easy way to remove the armor plate, simply patience. The forms and other parts are not inexpensive, you can figure on spending $100 minimum on the form, nose, jaws, eyes and shipping. You will spend anywhere from 2-3 times the labor on the skin. Granted there is no sewing if you've cafefully removed the cape. Boars require more attention after mounting than deer due to the amount of shrinkage.
So all said and done I charge $450 for closed mouth and $550 for open mouth. May sound like alot to some but you MUST think about the time and material spent as opposed to mounting something else. If you don't ask you won't get it and if you don't ask you'll only ask yourself how you got into this mess. History has a way of repeating itself, hopefully my early history won't repeat on your shoulders.

ps Use Noonkesters forms and jawset, they fit and look better than the newer ones.
