I want to learn more about taxodermy. I have never done it before so I will Be
starting from stratch.Please give me some information on how i can learn more about it.

Amber, What i would do (and what i did do) is get some type of home course. And instruction mamuals and videos. WASCO has a nice home course. Also if possible, and know a taxidermist, hang out and watch. Good luck at it.
They can even get books for you thru a borrowing system from other libraries, maybe even tapes.

I have learned alotalot form mine. they are aaavailable in book and video courses.

You can also look into Breakthrough Taxidermy Manuals and Magazines. The manuals explain mounts from start to finish (Duck, Turkey, Deer, etc) The Magazine has questions and answers plus you can order back issues if you see something you're interested in (tanning, habitat, mounting tips, etc). Also look into Van Dykes or Rinehart Taxdiremy supply companies, they have kits that can get you started. I did, and although I am just a beginner too they explain things pretty well. Good luck! Andy
