Airbrush Troubles...

Submitted by Redphoenix on 3/6/01. ( ) 63.14.126.2

I have a millenium series double action passche airbrush. It worked fine last time I used it, but when I went to use it yesterday, as soon as i pushed the button down to let air go through the brush paint came out. Now if i remember right paint shouldn't come out until the button is pulled back right? And then it should get wider as it is pulled back? Well it was the same streak of spray if you pull back or not. It doesn't matter. It should get wider as i pull back and thinner, until it stops if i release. I am new to using an airbrush so i have no idea where to start. I think it may be something with the needle but i'm not sure. Also is the needle supposed to stick past the tip at any point, because if i remember right it used to, and now I notice it isn't. Please let me know if you have ideas of what is with the stupid thing. Also how to fix it! PLEASE! I am desperately trying to get some beaks painted! Thanks a lot.

Airbrush Trouble`s

To answer your question about your airbrush. First remove the handle, then loosen the nut that holds the needle. Then push the needle all the way forward until it seat`s.But not tight just til it stop`s, then tighten the nut back down. That should get it working again but you should get some book`s to learn how to use it. Yes ,the needle should be sticking out passed the tip.Good Luck ! They take alot of practice.

airbrush

If you unscrew the back of the airbrush off, you will find a screw type fitting that the needle passes thru. Loosen this, it might be already, and make sure the needle is pushed forward all the way so the tip sticks out, then tighten the lock screw and put the back half back on. When you loosen that lock screw on the inside, you should be able to slide the needle shaft right out for cleaning if necessary or to put a different size shaft on. Usually air brushes come with 3 tips. fine, medium and a broad spray. Hope this helps..Jim

I had the same problem

I am not by far an expert on airbrushes but I have had the same problem. What had went wrong was that I let paint dry in the brush on the needle. I had to take it apart and clean the needle and every thing else for that matter. I had to use a pair of pliers to pull the needle out, But when I got it out the rest was easy. Your instructions you got with it should tell you how to take it apart and clean it. Maybe others here can give your more information on then.

Good Luck

I was wondering, how many parts to you dismantle to a doulbe action paasche airbrush to clean it?

Do you just remove Aircap1 and 2, or do you have to dismantle the ENTIRE airbrush to clean it?
