After skinning a duck ,fleshing ,washing & drying one. Can you just throw it in the freezer until you are ready to mount it or do you need to mount it as soon as possible. If I freeze it do I need to add preserative to it before freezing it.
Thanks
Dave

Before asking questions that have been asked and answered numerous times, search the archives and recent postings. Since New Years day this question has been discussed on 1/14/01 and 2/27/01, and perhaps more often. The archives, so often referred to, only have been brought on line to 1999?, so you should search the postings from recent on back to this time frame by scrolling down under birds, and going to likely titles (OR READ THE WHOLE THING FOR AN EDUCATION).
I'm just trying to keep George happy so Wolf Blitzer won't have another report.
The best thing to do is keep the skin wet when you freeze. I personally skin my birds and freeze with wet paper towels in the cavity and tuck head inside before I degrease. Do not dry and try yo keep. If you need any more advice e-mail me. Glad to help. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. In my other proffession lives depend on answera and thankfully people do not belittle other people for asking. Look forward to hereing from you Joel, Besides we should be here to promote the buisiness and maybe the computer use is not your best attribute!
