Have any of you pro's out there ever tried glueing ear liners
with a good quality R.T.V. rubber caulking adhesive. I just fixed some
problems on an old mount with it and it seemed to work real well. So I
was wondering how it would work on glueing the ear liners in.Thanks

Ryan,
There are MUCH cheaper and better alternatives than RTV. Your repairs may look OK now, but how long will they last. RTV tends to have the same life-span as superglue. On dry preserved hides, the moist/dry cycling usually disbonds the RTV eventually while on tanned hides, the oil in the hide will eventually work it free. Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) is just what it says and it's applications are best left for waterproofing solid and semisolid surfaces.
